Hey there!

Este título deu a entender que era uma confissão de “saída do armário” não deu? Ahaha mas não é guys, not yet… 😉 Descobri que não sei o que ando a fazer, por vezes estou tão determinada em seguir os sonhos mas por outras… é uma confusão! “É da idade”, talvez. Há coisas que me fazem feliz mas não há muito que me prenda e me faça pensar “eu quero fazer isto para o resto da vida”. Também sentem que estão atrasados no “saber o que querem”? É que há poucas coisas que eu tenho a certeza de que quero (como ter pernas muito magrinhas ou querer gelado de amarena) mas quanto ao resto sinto-me sem rumo. O pouco que sei é que gostava de sair daqui, de Tavira, de Portugal. E vocês, as vossas ideias, estão em ordem?

Don’t stress, rest!

Raramente descansava o suficiente até me aperceber das vantagens que isso traz. Dormir é a cura diária que todos os seres humanos precisam, pelo menos 8 horas é o suficiente para que a pele se regenere e consiga desempenhar o seu papel principal durante o dia – proteger-nos dos raios ultravioletas – a hormona do stress, o cortisol, diminui enquanto dormimos assim a pele pode reparar-se e a mente permanece serena (quanto menos dormires mais fraca fica a pele).

Li na Vogue Portugal do mês passado que dormir muito pouco pode também influenciar “a memória a curto prazo, o sistema imunitário, o metabolismo, torna-nos emocionalmente frágeis e até aumenta o peso e o perímetro abdominal” :O

É claro, não significa que não possa haver aquela fugida à regra, por vezes nem controlamos, ou vamos para a noite e só nos deitamos às tantas. No entanto é muito importante que tentemos estabelecer um horário para ir para a cama, acho que se sente logo diferença passado uns dias de bons sonos! Se normalmente chegas à tal altura da noite em que não consegues adormecer, tenta ler algo agradável, começa a sonhar acordada ou medita, são os meus truques poderosos 🙂

É realmente um luxo para a nossa saúde que durmamos relaxadamente e durante o tempo necessário para o nosso cérebro descansar.

I love to keep myself busy – I actually have enough geometry to keep me busy – but we must know how to divide things, rest is key. I didn’t used to get enough rest till I noticed the advantages it brings to our lives. Sleep is the daily healing every human being need, sleep at least 8 hours is enough to for the skin to regenerate and play its vital role during the day – protect us from ultraviolet rays – the stress hormone, cortisol, decreases during sleep so the skin can repare itself and our mind remains calm (the less you sleep the weaker your skin gets).

I read on Vogue Portugal of May that sleeping very little may impair short-term memory, the metabolism, immunity system, make us emotionally fragile, make us gain weight and even increase the abdominal perimeter :O

Of course it’s not always possible to get enough rest, sometimes we can’t even control, we go out at night and go to bed really late. However it’s essential to set a time to go to bed, I think that some days after great nights of sleep you immediately notice the difference! In case you get to that time of the night you can’t go back to sleep, try to read something nice, dream awake or meditate, those are my powerful tricks 🙂

It really is a luxury for our health that we sleep relaxed and for as long as it takes for our brains to rest.

Puppy Love

Sabem o que é chegar a casa e terem o vosso cão a correr super feliz para vocês? Faz-me sentir a pessoa mais sortuda do mundooo! Ele não me deixa fazer yoga em paz, roí as minhas pantufas, os carregadores, o tapete, enfim tudo! Mas depois faz aqueles olhinhos de cachorrinho que eu não aguento. E ainda que tenha um buraco de 30 cm de profundidade à porta de casa, ele enche-me o coração por completo!


Do you know that feeling of getting home and your puppy is super happy to see you? It makes me feel the luckiest human aliveee! He does not let me do yoga peacefully, he gnawed my slippers, my charger, the carpet, everything! But then he does those cute puppy eyes and my heart melts. Yet I have this 30 cm deep hole, I love him unconditionally!

We must always be able to listen, learn and improve. Three years ago, while I was in England, I found a guy, siting in the middle of the street, singing Let it be. I found it so simple and beautiful, he wasn’t a great singer but he just caught my attention, so I sat down too, next to him. I started singing with him, and I’m an awful singer, people started noticing and filming us, they must have found it funny (or just found me terrible), and it was, it was soooo funny. It made me so happy in that moment. Oh, and a friend of mine came to sit with us what made it more special. What I actually mean is: we must appreciate the simple things in life, enjoy them slowly, and share it with the people we love.

Devemos estar sempre aptos a ouvir, aprender e melhorar. À três anos atrás, enquanto estava em Inglaterra, encontrei um rapaz, sentado no meio da estrada, a cantar Let it be. Achei isso tão simples e bonito, ele não era um grande cantor mas chamou-me mesmo à atenção, por isso sentei-me com ele. Comecei a cantar também, e eu sou uma péssima cantora, as pessoas começaram a olhar para nós e filmar-nos, provavelmente acharam engraçado (ou apenas acharam que eu cantava muito mal), e foi, foi muito engraçado. Esse momento fez me tão feliz. Ah, e uma amiga minha também se sentou connosco, o que ainda tornou o momento mais especial. O que eu quero dizer é que: devemos apreciar as coisas simples da vida, devagar para dar tempo de as saborear, e partilhá-las com as pessoas que mais gostamos.

My life is a chaos, a hot mess!! I’ve studying studying and studying, and it’s not working… but I believe in good thoughts and that somehow, someway, we’ll find a way to get things together. Even if things become hard to handle. Keep smiling. You have to discover the strength to get over it.

We just have to relax and go with the flow 🌸

Hello October

Hi guys, today is October 1st and it is my birthday’s month! So I decided to do something different from the usual. I’ll show you some things that I like or that I am enjoying to use recently, like clothes, accessories, cosmetics and films.

Clothes

I choose these three clothing parts of my wardrobe because I guess that they are the ones that most like to buy this year. The dress is so simple, yet sophisticated, I love the sleeves’ details, the fact that it’s really airy and the way it looks. By the way it’s from Zara.

 

This top, kind of t-shirt, is from Urban Outfitters and I bought it while I was in Wales last summer. Its embroidered flowers are so beautiful and I really like its color, it’s like baby pink, what makes it so cute, even though its transparent.

 

Finally, the jeans. I am in love with the floral detail of these pants, it enhance the waistline, I bought them on Mango.

 

Accessories

These earrings were given to me by a friend, they are from H&M. I like them a lot because it gives a brighter touch to any outfit and at the same time they are so charming.

 

This bag is one of the favorite bags that I’ve got, the color, the golden clasp, the shape, the fact that it’s velvet.. you got it ahaha I totally love it! The photos have an yellow tone, but it’s like blue turquoise I swear. I am sorry for that anyway.

 

Let’s talk about berets, baby (I was singing that). Well, a long time ago in my childhood, my mom used to buy me lots of them but I didn’t like it. On the other hand, now, I definitely adore them! this one is from a little shop we’ve found inside of LxFactory. It seems french, do you know what I mean? ahaha It makes me adore it even more.DSC_3246

Recently, I’ve been using this Yves Saint Laurent’s body lotion. Ahhh it smells like summer! Besides smelling quite good it is also very moisturizing.

Secondly, this fabulous exfoliating from Eucerin. It leaves my skin so soft and calm.

The last product is an high lighter also from Primark, it has a golden tone, what looks pretty good on a brunette’s skin.

 

Films

These are two of my favorite films ever, you’ve probably watched both of them, or at least, one. However, if you didn’t I recommend you do. Well, a fact about me is that I love “mind blowing” films and these two films have that sort of effect that makes you ask “what the hell is going on now?” ahaha

oe01 Ocean’s eleven is a police, action and comedy movie saga, it’s a Steven Soderbergh’s film that includes George Clooney, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt and the incredible Julia Roberts.

The age of  Adaline is a drama, fantasy, romance film, which tells the story of a woman whom has stopped growing old. The director of this film is Lee Toland Krieger, and the main character, Adaline, is starred by Blake Lively, who’s one of my favorite actresses.

Twinkle twinkle

Goodnight sweethearts, I have been feeling so lonely lately, I kinda feel weird at school and I would rather stay home. I truly don’t know what’s going on, but I thought “maybe blogging would help” so here I am, laid on my bed, blogging. Sadly, I am a hugger-mugger type of person, I suck at making decisions and I never know what I actually want. And that gets me low all the time. Anyway, I have been feeling like that recently but I want to do something that cheers me up, do you have something in mind guys?
